VOTE BY MAIL:
The deadline to apply for a vote by mail ballot is Tuesday, February 27th 5pm. All registered voters received a postcard vote by mail application in January. To track your vote by mail ballot, click here Mail-in ballots must be received by 8pm on election day in order to be counted. Ballots may be returned by mail, in-person, or placed in the town hall drop boxes
INFORMATION FOR VOTERS:
The 2024 Massachusetts Presidential Primaries will be held on March 5, 2024. In addition to candidates for President of the United States, the ballots will also include the party offices of state committee and town committee.
All voters are eligible to vote in Massachusetts primaries. There are currently 3 recognized parties in Massachusetts; Democratic Party, Republican Party, and Libertarian Party. If you're enrolled in a party, you must vote in your parties primary. Those registered as Unenrolled (often called “Independent”) may choose which parties primary they wish to vote in. You will remain unenrolled after the primary. For additional information, click here

State Committeeman/Committeewoman:
Every four years, Presidential Primary voters have the opportunity to elect party officers. These officers include members of the party’s state committee and their local ward or town committee. Each party’s state committee is allowed to elect one man and one woman from each of the Commonwealth’s 40 state senate districts. Members of the state committee work to; promote the aims of the party, work in cooperation with the national party committee and with ward and town committees, and organize and work for the nomination and election of party candidates
Town Committees:
In Massachusetts, town committees are the building blocks of political parties. In towns, party town committees are elected town-wide every 4 years during the Presidential Primaries. Ward and town committees range in size from 3-35 elected members. Their duties include representing their party at the local and neighborhood level, promoting the objectives of the party, and working for the nomination and election of party candidates.
