Overwhelmed by all the papers in your life? What do you need to keep and what
can you let go of? This new class by Kay Hoover, our instructor for the popular
Conquering Clutter Confusion class, will help you focus on a specific area of
clutter…those piles of paper! Join others who are challenged by piles of paper.
Bring your papers in boxes and we will sort through them. Kay Hoover has her
master’s degree in education and uses her years of home management, skills
in leading discussions, and information she has gathered from books and
discussions to help you get control of your paper clutter.

PAD is a common condition affecting the legs.  In PAD, a buildup of fatty
deposits (plaque) in the leg arteries restricts blood flow from the heart to
the legs.  When blood flow is reduced, it can lead to leg pain  when walking
or climbing stairs because your leg muscles are not getting enough oxygen.

PAPER QUILLING - BUTTERFLY

Create a beautiful, quilled butterfly.  Paper Quilling uses strips of paper that are rolled, shaped
and glued together to create decorative designs.  It may look hard, but it's relatively easy to do.
Our Watercolors teacher Jessica will lead you through the process.  Try this class and you may
find a new hobby.

The Monarch butterfly population is declining.  Learn about these beautiful butterflies through Dan
Stimson's photography.  Dan will talk about each stage of a generation's life cycle and how our local
butterflies are just a part of this species' remarkable migration.  Dan will also discuss how local
conservation efforts and the things you do in your own backyard can contribute to the health of this
declining population.

Doo-Wop Night with Tony Funches - Former Lead Singer of the Platters

What is Doo Wop?  Doo Wop is defined as a style of rhythm & blues and rock & roll vocal
music popular in the 50's and 60's.  It features a tenor lead vocalist singing the melody with
a trio or quartet singing background harmony.
 
As examples; The Platters "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes", The Drifters "Under The Boardwalk",
The Four Seasons "Sherry", The Temptations "My Girl", the Cadillacs "Earth Angel", and Dion
and the Belmonts "A Teenager in Love". Just to name a few hit songs, which will hopefully bring
back fond memories.
 
We are delighted to present as a special guest the one-time singer of the Platters, Tony Funches.
Tony also sang with the Drifters, The Coasters, The Shirelles, just to name a few singing group.  He
has performed everywhere from Las Vegas, to New York, to Japan...a true world traveler.  So, get on
your dancing shoes, loosen up your vocal cords, and prepare for an exciting night out with food song,
