About Be Well Northborough

Be Well Northborough is a collaborative health and wellness initiative aimed at helping our community recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The mission of Be Well Northborough is to develop new programming and resources as well as raise awareness of existing resources that address issues such as social isolation, mental health, substance use, and overall wellness. By curating new and existing health and wellness resources through a new shared community calendar, resource guide, website, and outreach activities, we hope to improve the health and wellness of our community.

The Be Well Northborough initiative is led by the Be Well Northborough Working Group, comprised of departmental staff from:

  • Family & Youth Services
  • Health
  • Fire
  • Library
  • Police
  • Recreation
  • Senior Center
  • Schools
  • Town Administration

The working group was formed as an offshoot of the Town of Northborough COVID-19 Task Force, a group of municipal department heads who met weekly during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.   On March 14, 2022, the Board of Selectmen approved $100,000 in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds for this new initiative.  Support is provided in part by the MetroWest Health Foundation.

The Be Well initiative kick-off event was held on June, 22, 2022 at Ellsworth McAfee Park.  Click HERE for event recap and photos.

Town department staff worked closely with their boards and committees to develop new ideas and respond to public input suggestions that came through the Be Well Northborough Public Input Form.
