    • apply sunscreen
  • 1 in 5 Americans develop skin cancer by the age of 70. 
  • People with the following characteristics are at higher risk for skin cancer:
    • Skin that easily burns, freckles, reddens or becomes painful in the sun
    • Lighter natural skin color
    • Skin with certain types or a large number of moles
    • Older age
    • Family or personal history of skin cancer
  • What should you look for?
    • A new growth on the skin
    • A change in a mole
    • A sore that does not heal
