About Us

The Northborough Extended Day Programs, Inc. (NEDP) is a private, non – profit organization that provides before and after school care for children in Kindergarten through Grade 5 in each of the four public elementary schools. We provide Before School Care at all four schools, it is housed at Lincoln and Peaslee Schools.

NEDP has been in operation since September, 1987 and is governed by the NEDP, Inc. Board of Directors, which is comprised of dedicated parents and community members. NEDP provides care for approximately 250-300 children and serves an important need for parents in the community who may be working or seeking a social and play environment for their school-aged child.

The programs are licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care. The staff is chosen for their knowledge and experience in working with elementary school – aged children. Staff are trained in CPR, First Aid and participates in educational trainings throughout the school year to enhance all aspects of the programming.

The NEDP programs provide a supervised safe and nurturing environment where children can socialize with their peers, engage in “Fun” and enriching activities and participate in recreational programming. In addition, time is set aside each day for children to do their homework. Meeting the needs of children during out of school time affords parents and guardians “peace of mind” knowing that their child is being well cared for.

We strive for excellence in providing positive experiences within all aspects of our organization.
We place a high value on communication to ensure the success of our family participants.

We look forward to continuing the valuable service we provide and the relationships that are formed with the families that support NEDP.
