Line Dancing

Come try out the line dance class! Line dancing has many benefits AND it's a fun way to exercise! It's a great way to reduce stress and increase energy and you don't need a partner! Line dancing normally involves 1, 2 or 4 walls - so you are repeating a series of steps over and over, at different walls. All types of music are used.
Candlepin Bowling
Day: Thursdays

Cost: $6 for 3 strings, including shoe rental
Come join the fun and camaraderie of candlepin bowling. The group meets at the bowling alley every Thursday, except holidays.
Pickleball

Come learn one of the fastest growing games in America.~ The group meets at 3PM on Wednesdays and noon to 1 pm on Fridays at the Northboro Town Hall Gym. Join us to see how the game is played and to learn how to play.~ It is a combination of ping-pong, badminton, and tennis.~ We use a waffle-type ball and a paddle about 3 times the size of a ping-pong paddle.~ It can be very competitive or just very social.~ For more information contact: Alex Fleischman 508-393-7129.
Tapping for Health for Beginners

Did you ever dream of being a tap dancer? Here’s your opportunity! Join this class for a chance to fulfill your dream or just have fun tapping to health. Please call the Senior Center at 508.393.5035 to register for the the class in January. The class minimum is 5 and the maximum is 15, so call before the opportunity slips by.
Tai Chi

Feel great, stay fit and keep moving with Tai Chi. This is an easy, joint safe way for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy exercise, meet new friends and take greater control of their health. Tai Chi has been shown to reduce pain, stiffness, increase flexibility and improve balance. The Tai Chi for Arthritis was specifically designed for a gentle flowing workout for people with many types of Arthritis.
Strength Training
Days: Every Monday – Wednesday

Make the most of your workout with this fun and active class. You’ll begin with a warm-up and ease into strength training with weights. The class incorporates aerobics and stretching as well. Linda has been an instructor at the Senior Center for 14 years.
This class is adaptable to all capabilities so plan on checking it out soon.
Walking Club

The Walking Club is enjoying this beautiful weather and getting a great workout at the same time! Now all they need is you to join them as they explore the wonderful trails of Northborough. These walks also include discussions of the vegetation, geology and land use history. So put on your walking shoes and join in the fun!
YOGA with Nancy

Yoga with Gene

A senior himself, Gene has been teaching yoga for 32 years. Currently teaching eight (8) classes a week of senior yoga at various venues, he has also been teaching very vigorous yoga classes at Harvard University for the last 17 years, and in many health clubs in the greater Boston area.
His senior yoga takes a very gentle approach that includes many practices that are of particular importance for all seniors, such as balance exercises, and joint mobility exercises, with special attention for those with painful fingers, hands, wrists, and shoulders.
He conducts his class with very clear details, patience, and with a light and humorous style. You'll have fun!
Zumba Gold
