Forestry 2 is utilized for much the same purpose as Forestry1. It is, customarily; the second-due unit to respond to wild-land fires -and related incidents. Forestry 2 has the ability to gain access to the most remote areas of the community, and is capable of TRUE four-wheel drive (with the differential LOCKERS engaged there is power to each wheel). This rugged unit also has high ground-clearance and undercarriage skid-plate protection. Large diameter tires (pictured here with the small winter tires) and a front-mounted winch help to keep the unit from being mired off-road. An onboard 100gallon tank is augmented by the onboard Class-A foam system. The addition of Class-A foam greatly increases the fire extinguishing capabilities of water on Class-A combustible fires. It also provides great penetration into the fuel,
thus; greatly reducing re-ignition. Additionally, Forestry 2 carries back-pack pump cans for spot fires, various specialized power and hand-tools.
