Dear NEDP Parents/Guardians

We would like to invite you to the annual “OPEN HOUSE” for NEDP!
WHERE:  At each of the Elementary School’s Cafeteria
WHEN:     Tuesday August 30, 2016
TIME: 4:00pm – 5:30pm

This is an opportunity for you and your child/children to drop by the elementary school he/she attends and meet the staff and ask any questions you may have about NEDP.
NEDP will open on the first day of school Wednesday, August 31, 2016 for grades 1 – 5 and for Kindergarteners on Thursday, September 1, 2016.
For the first day of school please write a note to your child’s teacher informing him/her of the scheduled days your child will be attending NEDP.   Information and NEDP forms, policies and procedures are available on this web page.
We are continuing to strive to improve our communication with parents/guardians. For those who are new to our programs we have in place what we call our “E-mail Blasts.” This form of communication allows us to send important programming and administrative information, reminders for program closings such as professional  development days, early closings due to inclement weather and any additional reminders and important dates to remember throughout the academic year.
If you supplied us with your e-mail address on your child’s application form, our office has entered this information for you on the town’s website “Subscribe to News” link. You should have received a confirmation e-mail which you need to reply to in order for you to receive the “E-mail Blast” from your child’s program site.  You will see a link above labeled "NEDP News" which will bring you right to your specific school for the most up to date news.
If you did not receive the confirmation e-mail, the process to subscribe for the NEDP news at your child’s program site is as follows:   1. Go to the town website and scroll down on the left side to “Subscribe to News” 2. Follow the prompts under “How to Subscribe” and click the box indicating your child’s school 3. Then click onto “Send My Request” 4. You will receive a confirmation e-mail which you will need to reply to in order for you to receive the “E-mail Blast” from your child’s program site
We look forward to another fun-filled year at NEDP as we meet our new participants and welcome back those children we have had in the past. We hope the rest of your summer is a pleasant one!

We would like to share below an email from a parent of a child who attends NEDP at Peaslee School, Thank you Laura for your kind words and feedback:

“I went to Peaslee yesterday to pick up my son Joseph, and I saw the most wonderful sight.  All of the staff were wearing hats, and they had the students sitting in their seats in the caf... and Mr. V had a griddle going and he was making pancakes!  He had milk and pancake mix out and had a big spatula and the staff were walking amongst the students and offering them syrup and whipped cream for their pancake snack.  I was so impressed and it was beyond my hopes for this relatively small after school program!  I cannot say enough good things about the NEDP Peaslee staff... each one of them has been so kind and professional to my child and to my family.

Wow.... making fresh pancakes for 30 kids.... what an amazing program!

I only wish we had moved to Northborough earlier!

Thank you!"
