NEDP offers extended care on the early release days scheduled for Parent/Teacher Conferences. The program operates from 11:30 AM to 6 PM. Early release days have a separate fee of $25.00 per day/per child for those participants who normally attend on the half day in addition to the monthly tuition. This includes the extra 3 hours of child care plus the cost of activities.
If your child does not normally attend NEDP on the half day you may place your child on a waiting list for the half day by signing him/her up and your Site Coordinator will inform you whether or not there are slots available for that day on a first come first serve basis. Also, an extra day request form must be filled out along with signing your child up and there is a $50 per day/per child fee. You must send a note to your child's teacher that he/she will attend on this day as it is not a normally scheduled NEDP day for your child.
A sign up sheet will be available at each program site during the half-day month. Parents must sign their child up in order for them to attend even though he/she ordinarily attends that day. The extra fee will be added to the following months invoice. Cancellations made on that day will not be credited.
Field trips may be planned for the early release day. Information regarding the field trip and permission slips are available for you to download on this link. Not all schools go on field trips on half days so please make sure when filling out the permission slips that it pertains to your child's school.
Children are required to bring a bag lunch with a beverage, unless otherwise specified.
