Household HAZMAT course
The Northborough Local Emergency Planning Committee invites you to participate in a free, on-line, interactive, independent study course sponsored by FEMA entitled:
Household Hazardous Materials – A Guide for Citizens.  This course promotes education and safety concerning the common substances that we have in and around our homes.  Although common and familiar, household chemicals can cause serious injury from exposure when used or disposed of improperly.  The course is located on the World Wide Web at HTTP://www.training.fema.gov/EMIWEB/IS.  Click on Courses and select IS-55.

Protect yourself and your family from chemical accidents in the home by enrolling in this course.  Learn about chemicals and their effect upon the body, dangerous products in the home, product labels, personal protective equipment, and other information related to the hazardous materials that we live with and benefit from.

All ages are welcome to enroll in this course.  All participants who pass the final exam will receive a certificate of completion from FEMA.

The Northborough Local Emergency Planning Committee promotes chemical awareness, safety and the public’s Right-to-Know about hazardous materials in our community.  For more information please contact Ms. Nancy Lepore, LEPC Information Coordinator.
